Margot Henderson tells The Wild World Over
An evening of stories with a sense of place that help us make space for the more than us. Stories gathered from here and there, that take us on the trail of the bear, calling us home to what we know in our bones.
Much of Margot’s work is site specific, celebrating our connection to the natural environment. She was Artist Educator for the Tate Galleries for many years and was Storyteller in Residence for Coral Arts, a site-specific participatory arts theatre company. Since returning to Scotland in 2002 she has been Storytelling Fellow for Aberdeen, Writer in Residence for The Cromarty Arts Trust and Reader in Residence for Inverness. She leads writing workshops for LAPIDUS and currently teaches expressive writing and meditation and is a Cultural Creative for Nature Culture Network Scotland.
Tales of the Forgotten North launch
Tonight’s event will also act as our launch of our exciting new project Tales of the Forgotten North where you will hear snippets of the project so far. We will also introduce you to our Tales of the Forgotten North programme of events for 2013 taking place over a fortnight at the start of the summer. Will you join us for a bicycle ride, story walk or evening performance as we set out into the wilds of Northumberland?
